So who's behind
Bolster Trade Finance?

Bolster was started by Nick O'Connor and Will Cook, two old school friends reunited on a mission to support Kiwi businesses and New Zealand's next

wave of trade wealth and prosperity.

Nick and Will have a proven track record in business and supporting Kiwi companies to succeed. Read more about them below.

Nick O'Connor

Nick is responsible for customer contracts and anti-money laundering requirements.

 

Nick has a proven track record in developing propositions to address unmet customer needs. He’s a well-practiced professional match-maker, maintaining a big contacts book and joining the dots between people who want things done and those who have the financial resources to help get things done. He is the founding director of payables financing company Buffer NZ Limited, a fast-growing non-bank finance company. He’s also the founding director of construction and property management companies MMN Projects and Heartland Partners. He is a former director and shareholder of SmartLift Systems, winner of the Deloitte Fast 50, 2016.

Will Cook

Will is responsible for strategy, customer service and marketing.

 

Will is an experienced business strategist and award-winning marketing practitioner. He’s been involved in a range of businesses from start-ups to established organisations like Kiwibank, New Zealand Rugby and New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE).

 

At NZTE, he had direct insight into the challenges and opportunities facing Kiwi businesses, and what it might take to support them into 2021 and beyond.  Will is a lawyer by education, former co-founder and director of energy start-up Our Energy Limited, an appointed member of Softball New Zealand and Chair of its Strategy & Performance Committee.
